Least We Forget - Our Fellow Brothers and Sisters in Service who have left us!

Fallen Heroes Remembered

A solemn ceremony this morning marked the sacrifices of those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
As the world wakes to 11th November, we pay tribute to members of the armed forces in Fiji and around the world who died in the struggle for world peace.
At dawn today, senior officers from the Fiji Military Forces, the Fiji Police Force, Corrections Services and the diplomatic corp. marked a moment of silence at the Military Cemetery in Suva to commemorate Remembrance Day.
Senior officer in the RFMF Colonel Mohammad Aziz says this day holds lessons for everyone.
"The message is commitment, dedication and loyalty towards the state - the people and the quest for international peace."
Remembrance Day is observed on 11th November to recall the official end of World War I in 1918; hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month".
