WorldMark Resort Denarau Island - Employ more Workers

Resort construction creates jobs

DEVELOPMENT works on the Wyndham Vacation Resort may be the largest building construction job in Fiji.
Managing director of Pacific Building Solutions Michael Fairfax said these words at the resort's third stage of its WorldMark Resort Denarau Islands groundbreaking ceremony.
He said they expected to employ hundreds of workers and subcontractors in a variety of trades over the next 18 months.
"We look forward to setting a new benchmark for quality construction on Denarau, especially in relation to the high-end presidential villas," said Mr Fairfax.
He said they were excited and ready to tackle the project.

The $50million development project is expected to employ around 200 people and the resort will take an additional 40 permanent staff, said the chief executive officer and managing director of Wyndham Asia Pacific, Barry Robinson.
"PBS was chosen because of their excellent track record building high-quality resorts in the South Pacific," Mr Robinson said.
"Our commitment to providing first class accommodation and facilities to WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham owners and guests is reflected in this significant redevelopment of this property purchased in 1998," he said.
The redevelopment and extension renovation would include construction of 63 new spacious and luxurious styles of accommodation ranging from one and two-bedroom deluxe apartments to presidential villas.
